Partnering with Aspire Education Group to Make History

At Virtual Assistant Diary, we’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Aspire Education Group for over two years, providing essential support in:

  • Email marketing

  • Website development and management

  • End-to-end event coordination

  • Project Management

  • Administrative Support

Our recent collaborations with Future Ed have included high-profile activator events leading up to the Future Ed Awards 2024, which celebrate individuals and initiatives making strides in education and enterprise. From exclusive gatherings with influential institutions to events honouring cultural leaders, each milestone reflects Future Ed’s dedication to systemic change.

We’re honoured to help amplify the incredible work of this organisation and support events that inspire, empower, and pave the way for positive change.

About Aspire Education Group

Aspire Education Group is an organisation with a powerful vision: to advance educational equity and social impact through transformative events, strategic mentorship, and community-driven initiatives. Founded by the esteemed Patricia Lamour MBE, social entrepreneur Viv Ahmun, and community activist Courtney Brown, their initiative Future Ed has consistently pushed boundaries to champion educational and economic opportunities for underrepresented groups across the UK.

Event Coordination for Acknowledging the Mother of the House: Diane Abbott MP

One of our most recent collaborations has been coordinating Acknowledgement of Diane Abbott – Mother of the House, an event recognising the incredible contributions of Diane Abbott, the first Black woman to be elected to the UK Parliament. Known as a fearless advocate for social justice and a trailblazer for Black women in politics, Diane Abbott’s impact spans decades. This event, hosted at the historic House of Commons, is part of a series of activator events leading up to the highly anticipated Future Ed Awards 2024.

The activator events serve not only as a buildup to the Future Ed Awards but also as platforms to discuss relevant social issues and honour those who have paved the way for future generations. The Acknowledgement of Diane Abbott is a particularly significant milestone, highlighting the legacy of a leader who has broken barriers and tirelessly advocated for communities often left out of the conversation.

Exclusive Event with the Bank of England

Another significant moment was our collaboration with Aspire Education Group on an exclusive event at the Bank of England. Centred on the theme “Black Excellence and Equity in Schools as Pipelines to Higher Education & Wealth Creation,” this private gathering brought together leaders in banking, finance, education, and enterprise to explore how education can drive wealth creation and empower future generations. Our team managed essential event details and coordinated communications, ensuring seamless integration of thought leadership and networking opportunities. This collaboration allowed Aspire Education Group to engage with influential voices, aligning with their mission to reshape the conversation around equity and excellence in education.

Our Role: Supporting Future Ed’s Vision Through Digital and Event Strategy

Our team at Virtual Assistant Diary has worked closely with Aspire Education Group on numerous aspects of this project to ensure a memorable experience for attendees.

Here’s how we contributed:

  • Email Marketing Campaigns: We designed and executed targeted email campaigns to maximise event attendance, share valuable updates, and communicate event details. By maintaining engaging content and visually appealing formats, our campaigns helped foster a sense of anticipation and connection among Future Ed’s community.

  • Website Development: As a key part of Future Ed’s online presence, we enhanced their website to reflect the group’s mission and brand, provide information about upcoming events, and streamline the RSVP and registration processes for attendees. This has made it easier for users to engage with Future Ed’s work and access event information with ease.

  • End-to-End Event Coordination: From organising guest lists and sending invitations to working directly with event venues like the Bank of England and the House of Commons, our team managed logistics to ensure smooth execution. We handled various aspects of the Acknowledgement of Diane Abbott event, including setting up a waitlist to manage high demand and ensuring attendees had timely updates.
